Lately I’ve been bent on, well, a few things. I suppose you could sum it up with the term ‘greatness’.
I now feel the need to clarify this, because it’s been a tad vague. First I’ll make a distinction between people and everything else. Without people, there is no greatness. People imbue greatness into other things, and people are, themselves, great. Without people there is no quality, for people are the ones that determine and create quality. Ok, pretty simple distinction right? When I say greatness, I’m talking about people.
So the search for greatness is mainly what I’ve been bent on. Anyway, here is what happened next:
- I come across Lara’s blog
- She’s great
- I get stoked
- She helps me
- I tell you about it.
Let me break down the above steps:
- The couch surfing website has a collection of incredible people, so it’s not really a big surprise that I come across Lara in this way. I’m exploring the site and I find a group called ‘change the world’. Naturally I join the group immediately. Then I see Lara’s post that’s titled, “A Quest for the Ultimate Lifestyle – Free Life Coaching”. One comment I must make at this point: this is title is great all by itself. An idea can change the world, and what a great idea this one is. In her post, she tells about her new blog and also she asks for feedback, I double read the feedback invitation just to make sure, and I go for it; I enter Lara’s world. You’ll have to visit her blog yourself, but the only feedback I could offer was positive, because the presentation is art, the topics are perceptive, and the wordage is articulate.
- At this point I can adequately determine that this person is great, but it doesn’t stop. Her invitation for free life coaching is totally great.
“Whatever your story is, as long as you have the desire and willingness to create and live your best life , then I can help you. Just by sharing my enthusiasm and different philosophy to life could give you that little inspiration and focus needed to start down your own path to happiness. Regardless of where you are in the world, we can connect via Skype and discuss your goals, dreams and aspirations, your situation now and together we will work out a strategy to make your dream a reality and transition you to your best life, then going forward we will keep in regular contact so you will always have a support group right here with you on your journey. This is my way of giving something back to the world, and also the perfect opportunity for…”
- So at this point I am stoked (exhilarated). I have found someone that is not only great, but also someone that is working to amplify and explore the truths of others, and unleash the greatness that others may be holding back. Recently i have undertaken projects to do similar things, like the help factory, and direct emails, and conversation. I’ve asked others how I can help them in their goals, how I can help them create a better life, etc, etc. I’ve made some positive gains in my campaign, but it can be a little tough when everyone seems stuck in the day to day, and when people completely ignore my invitations. Well, reading what Lara said really inspired me and really helped relieve minute failures along my path of offering help. It revived my purpose and my personal truth that greatness can be achieved in a realm much higher than normally considered.
- Now it’s my turn to try out this really cool service. I was totally procrastinating on a current travel mission of mine, so I casually tell Lara about this via email. Now here is where I find Lara’s life coaching brilliant: people don’t need to be given solutions, because everyone is capable of discovering their own solutions. What is more valuable than anything is dialog where dialog doesn’t exist. To have a person to talk to, to have a communication with someone you admire, or someone with similar experience- that’s where it’s at. Just talking to someone who understands is worth gold. Shortly after being connected with Lara I sparked into action. It’s really easy to point fingers concerning negativity- the blame game. But when the coin is reversed, how many people point fingers when it comes to the positive? Not as many, from my perspective. So here is my chance to point the finger and say that Lara was responsible. Haha.
- As to the last step, telling you about it. Well, I just did that.
Here is just a few more things that don’t fit into the sequence above, but are definitely rad pointers from knowing Lara for several days:
- Sometimes my action is hindered when I let my observations, conclusions, and important communications go unsaid. When I let these things build up without flowing out in some way, it causes a type of pressure. I’m not saying that others experience this, but it’s something that I’ve recently noticed about myself. ANYWAYS, I read a post from Lara’s blog today and because it was so good and insightful, it actually gave me relief- relief that it was being said. I feel relieved that someone is taking the time to communicate the important concepts of life, and it doesn’t have to be me.
- I created the Help Factory to communicate my truth and my relationship to everything. I sent this out to everyone and got about 2 or 3 responses. Hahaha- it totally flopped. Communicating what was truly important to me at the time didn’t have the result that I expected. The responses I did get were quite positive, and I got a suggestion for betterment. That was almost two months ago. Then all of a sudden Lara reads it. She not only acknowledged that she noticed its existence, she also commented “Holy shit Batman – your site is f***ing awesome!!! Your writing and style is impeccable, engaging, intriguing… loooovvee it!” Then she went out of her way to write about it on her blog.
Lara is great! From Spain, through relay towers, possibly satellites, then through wifi internet routers and via my dirty computer screen, Lara was able to help me quite a lot. I have a feeling that the world will be hearing more about Lara in the near future. Her blog is “Quest for the ultimate lifestyle” and it’s an idea that embodies greatness.

Lara truely is greatness and the possibility of brightness in the world, what a woman!!
